Villa Donati

The Aristocratic Villa

Villa Donati, also known as “La Fattoria” (The Farmhouse), was the first villa of such dimensions on the property. It was built in the 18th century by the Aldobrandinis, an aristocratic family from Rome, and was their family home.

Elegantly rustic and stately, this villa boasts an air of nobility, with its high ceilings and large rooms decorated with antique furniture and paintings. The exposed beams and large fireplaces give the villa a traditional yet cosy feel.

On the ground floor, the entrance opens onto an expansive hall with a back door leading out to the garden. Doors to the left connect to a large living room, a kitchen with traditional fireplace and dining room, while on the right there is a single bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a twin bedroom leading to another single.

A wide stone staircase leads to a mezzanine with 1 double bedroom and bathroom with shower.

On the first floor, a large living room with an original fireplace opens onto 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin rooms, while a short staircase leads to another bathroom with a bathtub.

The back of the villa has a large garden with fruit trees, grape vines and an amazing view onto the woodland. The garden is designed for outdoor dining with a stone table and benches, overhead lighting and deck chairs for relaxing, choose between stargazing at night or sunbathing during the day.

Stay here for spectacular golden sunsets, to enjoy the beauty and peace of the countryside, but most of all to take a step back in time.
