A cocktail for the Palio!

A cocktail for the Palio!

Once the Italian Journalist Emanuela Audisio wrote
Il Palio è in fondo una corsa di cavalli, ma molto in fondo
which means the Horse Race is just a tiny part of the Palio, as there is much much more to it.

Italy is all beautiful.
Italy has the incredible capacity to make you feel part of her everyday life
– and this is how she steals your heart.
We don’t do it on purpose: we love being with people, and every occasion is good to laugh together and party.

And if you’re lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, you will be overwhelmed by the magic of centuries-old traditions:
the Palio di Siena is one of them.

You can sense the power of tradition even miles away from Piazza del Campo. You can hear it through the music from the parties in the hamlets up on the hills, where the contrasts between the Contrade (Siena districts) give way to what we do best: party.

Palio di Siena in Montestigliano

In Montestigliano, the week of the Palio is certainly the most coveted.
An unmissable appointment for friends and long-standing guests.
An experience that remains in the hearts of the newcomers.

The lottery, the live broadcast of the race in our piazzale, the party… everything brings to the creation of a unique, familiar atmosphere.
This year, this magical atmosphere inspired something we’re very proud of:
a new cocktail dedicated to Montestigliano!

sage of Montestigliano

Hamish – professional mixologist – collected very Tuscan scents and colours – sage, rosemary, lavender, fig – to create a surprisingly refreshing drink.
